I once heard, when you get with someone, you are giving them the power to hurt you. This is how I see the photos that are attached to the poems. It reflects that with love, although it can feel so euphoric it can be depleting. Over time, I have experienced this not with just relationships but also friendships, sisterhood, and so on.

14 Days of Poetry, 2023
Here is my very first 14 Days of Poetry. I was 25 years old when I posted these and many if not all, most, of these poems are in my 8 Oz. poetry book. I was in a space of sharing, yet nervous to share what love has been like for me. It has not been the best experience, yet somehow I have always remained hopeful.
