14 Days of Poetry, 2024

Here is my is 2nd annual 14 days of poetry where I continued to share parts of my love life along with showcase my love for Black romance films. I like to think all art intersects and they compliment each other so well. These are films I watch yearly, sometimes in one week. I specifically watch the following films Brown Sugar, Love Jones, The Photograph, and Really Love the most. What can I say, I am such a hopeful romantic. However, this is also the first time I shared a grief poem. I lost my only auntie I have ever had and truly known April 2023. I often think of her, our last conversation, and the last voicemail she left me. So at the time, I decided to dedicate my last poem to Beverly Abner to honor her existence and impact.
